As a member of The Rocket Company, I am part of a team that helps churches succeed.  In fact,on May 1st we are putting on a FREE online preaching conference with great pastors like Andy Stanley, Steven Furtick, Mark Driscoll, and Louie Giglio.  Be sure to click the images to register.  You don’t want to miss this.

This past week of Jaime Jimenez, Pastor of Creekside Fellowship in New Braunfels,Texas sent me an email that blew me away.

As I read his note below, I gleaned nine truths that everyone should know about earning the trust of a pastor.  Here’s the email:

I had my reservations when I first heard of the Rocket Company, and it stemmed from dealing with companies that promised to serve church leaders like myself only to experience something very different. You can imagine what enough of those episodes can do to a person who, at times, desperately needs practical answers to day-to-day ministry concerns. Ministry is fun, yet challenging, and those serving on the frontline need proven tools.

After doing my homework on the Rocket Company, the one thing that gave me the  confidence to purchase their products happened when I attended Revolution Church in Schertz,Texas before we launched in November. I was impressed with the seamless flow of both the sermon and the giving message. The pastor shared how they were using both Giving and Preaching Rocket, not to mention that they had experienced great results.

I have been using The Rocket Company products for the last two months and find them easy to understand and use. Brian or one of the other guys are so willing to answer any question I have about their material, or, if not in the office, they return my calls. I hope to meet these guys in person one day to thank them for being so willing and obedient to start what RC. I feel like I have such positive relationship with The Rocket Company guys.

Pastor Jaime Jimenez.

Now, the following are the nine truths contained in Jaime’s email that everyone should know about earning the trust of a pastor:

  1. Many Pastors Have Been Poorly Served In The Past – Jaime mentioned having less than satisfactory experiences with companies in the past.  Whether it is broken promises, poor relationships, or missed expectations, many pastors have had similar issues.  You must be prepared to overcome this.
  2. Pastors Have An Extraordinarily Difficult Job – The day-to-day pressures of ministry can be overwhelming at times.  Therefore….
  3. Pastors Desperately Need Proven Solutions To Issues They Face – When serving pastors, always remember their issue is the issue.
  4. Pastors Observe Other Churches – You cannot outrun your references.
  5. Pastors Want Results – Pastors are engaged in a cosmic battle on a daily basis between Heaven and Hell.  The stakes are too high to accept anything less than excellence.
  6. Pastors Need Simplicity – Genius is in making things simple for pastors, not complicated.
  7. Pastors Value Expertise – Pastors face the following each day – death, addiction, marriage problems, staff items, sermon prep, health issues, etc…  If a pastor gives you any of their precious time, you cannot waste it.
  8. Pastors Appreciate Follow Up – We learned this in kindergarten.  Return phone calls and do what you say you are going to do.
  9. Above All, Pastors Desire Authentic Relationships – All things being even, each of us would rather serve alongside of someone we enjoy being with.

Pastors, if are looking for proven solutions, results, simplicity, and expertise in increasing weekly giving, preaching better sermons, and/or taking your volunteer culture to a new level, AND you want this with great follow-up with an authentic friend in ministry, click here of on any of the links of this site to learn more about The Rocket Company.

You can also just leave a comment and I would be glad to contact you.
