In case you missed it, on Tuesday evening June 10th Andy Stanley, the incomparable pastor of North Point Community Church, created quite a ruckus on Twitter expressing his thoughts on the Southern Baptists praying for revival at their annual convention.

In an effort to provide some levity to the conversation, the following are 8 Alternative (tongue-in-cheek) Reasons I Feel Andy Stanley Took On The Southern Baptists. After reading, make your own list:
- As a Miami Heat fan, Andy had to take his frustrations out on somebody.
- On Monday, June 9th some well-meaning Southern Baptists showed up at his house unannounced and presented him the plan of salvation while he was trying to watch 24.
- North Point Community Church got a collections notice for its 18-year past due Cooperative Program payments.
- First Baptist Woodstock and Johnson Ferry Baptist (both about 30 minutes away) just opened campuses in Alpharetta taking away thousands of Andy’s people who wanted a more culturally-relevant experience.
- Andy is positioning himself to be one of Perry’s next campus pastors.
- Andy thought revivals were actually North Point’s idea.
- Andy needs more attention.
- Andy has a new book coming out soon – “America Doesn’t Need Revival (shock value in large print): It Needs Awakening (small print)”
